It is best to apply any lotions or perfumes before putting on any leather jewelry because they can damage the natural beauty of the leather. The usual damage to leather is liquid, so it’s advised to avoid wearing your leather jewelry when it’s raining or in the pool or shower. Be cautious when you’re washing your hands while wearing a leather bracelet. 

Of course, there are times were we can’t avoid our leather jewelry getting wet...if this is the case, allow the leather to dry and then apply with your fingers a small amount of leather conditioner. Storing the Leather When caring for jewelry, you usually hear the advice of people to store your jewelry in a plastic bag. However, with leather jewelry, it’s not advisable to place it in plastic since it will cause your leather to grow mildew (white fungus). Just store your leather in a cool and dry place.
